| [UPDATE 13:30 30/09/2026] As a temporary fix and to work around the ongoing Virgin/O2 (or their provider) issue, Jisc engineers have made a change to re-route traffic and some users are reporting an improvement accessing services. [UPDATE 09:40 30/09/2026] Users working off campus using certain ISP 's are continuing to experience connections issues to on-premise university services including the VPN and Direct Access. The current list of ISP's impacted that we know of are: Virgin broadband or O2 mobile, including virtual mobile operators Tesco, GiffGaff, Sky + Chattr, Play (Polish ISP), Highland Broadband Jisc have confirmed their is no issue on the Janet network but they have been in touch with Virgin who are advising that end users experiencing the issue contact their Residential Broadband Support team directly on 0345 454 1111 for further investigation [UPDATE 15:10 29/09/2026] We have checked with Jisc who operate the JANET network and they have confirmed everything is normal on the JANET network. They have escalated this issue to Virgin and Virgin have asked impacted users to report the issue directly to Virgin Media. [OPEN 08:00 29/09/2026] We are seeing issues for Virgin Media and O2 customers (broadband and mobile) connecting to the VPN. This may also impact anyone on a virtual operator that piggy backs on O2 mobile network - Tesco, GiffGaff, Sky + Chattr The VPN is functioning normally with significant numbers of users connecting and operating successfully. | Low |

| Users of Chrome 32-bit are unable to use "Share Application/Screen" in Collaborate. The user sharing the content will be able to see it but participants in the session will see a black screen. Users of Chrome 64-bit are not affected. Workaround: Other supported browsers are not affected by this issue so we recommend switching to Edge (Firefox is not supported by Collaborate) until further notice. | Medium |
