Due to Pure software upgrade to v5.25.2 the Pure Cloud Portal will require to resynch with the updated software. The portal will not update whilst the local application is down, and it will not appear to update for a number of hours once the local application comes back up. The upgrade is expected to complete by 12:30pm on the 01st February when the outage will be lifted. There may be a degraded service to users of the portal whilst it is updating following software upgrade. |

While we have not recorded any case within the University, we want you to please be aware that Microsoft is investigating an outage that has affected thousands of users around the world. Office 365 services appear to be stable for the University, but should be considered at risk whilst Microsoft is working on the underlying issue Current status: Microsoft has isolated the problem to a networking configuration issue and are analysing the best mitigation strategy to address it without causing additional impact. They'll provide more information once they have it. It did not say how many are so far affected, but sources have, recorded thousands of people reporting problems with Teams, Outlook, Microsoft 365 and XBox Live. Scope of impact: Any user serviced by the affected infrastructure may be unable to access multiple Microsoft 365 services. We are currently monitoring this and request that user experiencing any issue should immediately contact IS Helpline. |
